Well, if there is any “advantage” of having a husband with a rare, and until recently, inoperable illness (there’s been a change in that prognosis; more in my next newsletter, but suffice it to say it’s some good news!)
Okay, where was I? Oh, yes. About the (slight) advantage. With all the time my beloved has to sleep after his weekly full-blast of chemo, I’m finding more time to read in the evenings. Prior to his illness, if I wanted to sit in front of a roaring fire, I ended up watching television with him instead of reading.
Not only did that make me sad because I love to read, but as a writer, I consider reading part of my “job.” So now that he heads back to bed shortly after dinner, I’ve been curling up with Bello, Gracie and good book. Here are some recent books I’ve enjoyed.
